Setup

Setup on Docker

STEP 01

Download the installer

Download the latest Ledgerly installer from the GitHub Releases page (https://github.com/bensblueprints/ledgerly-expenses-mvp/releases) — or build it yourself from the MIT source.

STEP 02

Install

Run the installer — one click, no terminal, no account to create.

STEP 03

Run it locally

Ledgerly runs 100% on your machine — no account, no telemetry, and it keeps working with the Wi-Fi off.

What works offline: everything. Ledgerly is a desktop app — once it's installed, no feature needs a connection to us.

FAQ

Ledgerly on Docker — honest answers

Is it really free on GitHub?

Yes — the full source is MIT at github.com/bensblueprints/ledgerly-expenses-mvp. The $79 buys the packaged installer, 1-click setup and lifetime updates.

Does the receipt OCR upload my images anywhere?

No. tesseract.js runs client-side — in your browser or inside the desktop app's window — and the worker, wasm core and language data are all served from the app itself, never a CDN. Receipts with card numbers and addresses on them stay on your disk.
