Quillpad on Docker
Ship as a container you can docker-compose up anywhere — reproducible deploys with zero vendor lock-in.
Setup on Docker
Download the installer
Download the latest Quillpad installer from the GitHub Releases page (https://github.com/bensblueprints/quillpad-notes-mvp/releases) — or build it yourself from the MIT source.
Install
Run the installer — one click, no terminal, no account to create.
Run it locally
Quillpad runs 100% on your machine — no account, no telemetry, and it keeps working with the Wi-Fi off.
What works offline: everything. Quillpad is a desktop app — once it's installed, no feature needs a connection to us.
Quillpad on Docker — honest answers
Is it really free on GitHub?
Yes — MIT source at github.com/bensblueprints/quillpad-notes-mvp, always. $29 buys the signed installer with auto-updates.
How do I sync between machines?
Your vault is a plain folder, so any file sync works: Dropbox, Google Drive, Syncthing, git. There's no built-in sync service — that's a feature, not a gap: it's why there's no account and no monthly fee. If you want turnkey encrypted mobile sync, Obsidian Sync is good at that.
