🔔 Renewcheck
Track every subscription's renewal date without linking your bank account.
Rocket Money charges $6–12/month and requires linking your bank account through Plaid to track subscriptions it could just as easily let you enter by hand. Renewcheck does the tracking, reminders and spend reporting without ever asking for banking credentials — you add subscriptions yourself, and everything stays on your machine, for $15 once.

Honest answers
Is it really free on GitHub?
Yes — MIT source at github.com/bensblueprints/subscription-tracker. The $15 buys the packaged installer and updates.
Why manual entry instead of bank sync?
Because bank sync means handing a third party read access to your entire transaction history to solve a problem that's really just "remember these dates." If auto-detection from real transactions matters more to you than privacy, Rocket Money is the better fit.
Does it cancel subscriptions for me?
No — Renewcheck tracks and reminds; it doesn't call vendors on your behalf like Rocket Money's paid concierge service does.
How do reminders work?
Native OS notifications a configurable number of days before each renewal date.
What happens to my list if I stop using the app?
Nothing — it's a local file on your disk, exportable to CSV any time. No account to close, nothing held hostage.
Own Renewcheck forever
